Dahi Vada is a wonderful snack originated from the Indian subcontinent and is very popular throughout India. A very much liked and preferred menu item of a typical Udupi restaurant. It is prepared by soaking vadas, made from a batter of split black lentils ( Urad dal), in thick and sweetened dahi. Sprinkled with pepper powder and red chilli powder to add more flavour. A super delicious recipe.

150 gms Black lentils / Urad Dal, 1 teaspoon hing powder, 1 1/2 Salt.
Coconut oil or Refined oil for frying.
For Seasoning :- Red Chilli powder, Pepper powder.
