Kadala Curry Kerala Style
Kadala Curry, A perfect dish for Puttu or chapati. Cooked with Bengal gram and roasted coconut gravy. Medium spiced recipe. Puttu and Kadala curry is one of the popular combination in Kerala cuisine.

Bengal Gram 150 gms, soaked in water for 4 hrs and cooked, Green Chilli 2 nos slit, Salt as per taste, Water 1 cup.
For Masala Paste:- Coconut 1 cup grated, Coriander seeds 1 1/2 teaspoon, Dried Red Chilli 4 nos slit, Fennel seeds (Saunf) 1 teaspoon, Water 1 cup, Tomato 1 nos chopped.
For tadka:- Coconut Oil 2 tablespoon, Mustard Seeds 1 teaspoon, Dried Red chilli, Curry Leaves, Onion 1 large chopped, Turmeric Powder 1/2 teaspoon, Red Chilli Powder 1 teaspoon, Tomato 1 nos chopped, Hing 1/4 teaspoon, Garam Masala Powder 1 teaspoon, Garlic 3 cloves, Ginger 1 small piece, Coriander leaves for garnishing, Salt as per taste.
