Sambar Rice

Sambar rice, The flavour of Sambar mixed with rice. Is a wonderful recipe from Tamil Cuisine.

Ingredients : For Masala :- Refined Oil 1 tablespoon, Coconut pieces, Coriander 1 tablespoon, Dried Red Chilli 4 nos, Cumin seeds (Jeera) 1 teaspoon, Fenugreek (Methi) 1/2 teaspoon.

For Rice preparation :- Cooked Kolam rice 1 cup (200 gms), Refined Oil 2 tablespoon, Mustard seeds(Rai) 1 teaspoon, Onion 1 medium chopped, Curry Leaves, Dried Red Chilli 2 slit, Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon, Hing powder 1/2 teaspoon, Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon, Red Chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Tomato 1 medium chopped, Garlic 3 cloves crushed, Red Pumpkin 250 gms chopped, Carrot 1 medium chopped, Drum sticks 2 nos pieces, Brinjal 2 nos chopped, Potato 1 nos chopped, Lady's finger (Bhindi) 4 nos chopped, Tamarind extract Small lemon size, Coriander leaves for garnishing, Salt as per taste.
